Building road safety knowledge capacity
KARSIP is an international initiative supporting low- and middle-income countries in developing a sustainable knowledge- and research infrastructure.
Its ambition is to ensure a local road safety memory, necessary for successful implementation of long-term road safety policies.
PILOT PROJECT IN SRI LANKA
The first KARSIP pilot project has been launched in Sri Lanka. It involves the establishment of a self-sustaining road safety research institute hosted by the University of Moratuwa. The research institute will provide continuous policy support to Sri Lanka’s transport sector. The project is coordinated by professor H. R. Pasindu.
